Use cover with a purpose
Stand where cover blocks enemy shots without blocking your useful angles. Keep an escape route and avoid walking into several enemy lines of fire at once.
Treat ammunition as pressure
Firing every shot at maximum range may leave you helpless when an opponent advances. Keep enough ammunition to defend yourself and punish a push. Watch for opponents who have just spent theirs.
Spread out, but stay connected
Avoid giving splash attacks several targets. At the same time, do not drift so far away that your teammates cannot help. Useful spacing lets you cover separate angles while still supporting a fight.
Turn an advantage into the objective
Winning a duel is only useful if it helps your team. Take space, protect the gem carrier, move the ball, or control the zone. Chasing a low-health enemy into danger can give the advantage back.
Your next-match checklist
Protect your angle, keep ammunition for a push, and use won space to play the objective.
