Brawl Ball

Backyard Bowl.

Use the open midfield to create a passing angle before the goal approach.

The lay of the land

Know your angles.

  • Midfield is broad and open, with small cover clusters toward the sides.
  • Horizontal wall rows and bushes protect the approach to each goal.

BrawlSide observations of the saved layout.

BrawlSide’s game plan

Three moves ahead.

  1. Spread out in midfield and win space before carrying the ball forward.

  2. Move the ball toward the side your team controls, then look for a pass around the defensive wall row.

  3. When possession changes, recover toward your goal instead of sending everyone after the carrier.

The trap to avoid

A solo dribble into the intact wall row usually leaves the ball carrier without an angle.
